Booby Sock kits on Ebay

We had 2 booby sock kits left after we filled everyone's orders and backorders and we put these last two up for auction on Ebay. So if you didn't get one of these great sock knitting kits, check it out here:
Booby Sock kit on Ebay
or Other Booby Sock Kit on Ebay
We are unable to get anymore of these kits as the distributor is sold out. They have fingering weight wool/nylon yarn along with tiny beads and an awesome pattern featuring pink ribbons, "healthy" boobs and squished boobs getting a mammogram.

New Shipment of Cotton Tots yarn

I received a new shipment of cuddly Cotton Tots yarn today- Tyler had to test it for softness first. Judging by his expression, I think it passed..

Current Projects

This is a sweater kit that I bought at the Rhinebeck sheep and wool festival about 5 years ago. I finally got it down off my shelf and it's really fun to knit. The back is almost done- yeah! It's called the Marmalade Kit from Sheldridge Farm in Canada.

These socks are a baby gift for a friend. Very quick to knit up and super easy. An old Skacel pattern that I used to carry at the shop. Great way to use up leftover sock yarn.

Here's what they do while I'm filling orders....

This is my children in the yarn room. They like to play dress up while I'm filling orders. Or they like to make yarn spaghetti- where they unravel entire balls of yarn while mom isn't looking and watch mommy freak out when she sees what they have done.

In the past at the retail store, they enjoyed dumping out entire bags of popcorn on the floor and then dancing/crushing it into the carpet while mommy was busy with customers or winding yarn around the entire store, tying the pattern racks and chairs together, or even taking their clothes off and taking a bath in a cardboard box filled with packing peanuts. They also enjoyed opening the cash register while mommy was in the bathroom and giving change to the customers, stuffing pens into printers or playing with the buttons on the credit card machine.

Brand New Day, Brand New Blog--Tooth Fairy Troubles

Hi, and welcome to my blog - I'll try to show everyone all the new yarns, highlights of life in rural Vermont and crazy comments from my children.

Here's the latest-
My daughter lost a tooth last week and got the customary gold dollar coin from the tooth fairy. Over the weekend, she was hard at work at the kitchen table-when I asked her what she was doing here's what transpired. Now understand that she is 5 years old!!

"I'm writing a letter to the tooth fairy."- K.
"Oh, that's nice honey, why though?"- me
"So the next time I lose a tooth she'll bring me one hundred dollars!"- K.
"oh......" gasp, gasp.....-Me
"And why do you need $100?"
"SO I Can Buy Things, MOM!!" -K. (this from our daughter who almost jumps out of her skin if you even say the word Mall).

So, she writes this big letter and then gets her brother's helium balloons left over from his birthday two weeks ago and pokes a whole in the letter and ties the balloon on and is going to send the letter to the tooth fairy in the sky. Well, one balloon doesn't make the letter rise, so we finally have to tie on three big helium balloons. The two of them go out in the backyard and watch the wind catch the balloons and blow the letter away.

Several minutes pass and then she starts crying....and crying....I can't take it so I send my husband out to find out what is the matter..,... he comes in a few seconds later....She's hysterical because she forgot to sign her name to the letter and now the tooth fairy will never who to give the $100 to.
